December 21, 2018 – The partial shutdown of the federal government that may take effect at midnight tonight would furlough 38 percent of U.S. Department of Transportation employees and force another 46 percent to work without the a guarantee of being paid. Just 14 percent of USDOT employees would continue to work and be paid as normal.

December 7, 2018 – The Transportation Research Board of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine has issued a new update of its periodic report, “Critical Issues in Transportation.”
November 29, 2018 – According to railroads’ third-quarter 2018 reports released by the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), four railroads are at risk of failing to qualify for an alternative schedule to finish implementing positive train control (PTC) by the Dec. 31, 2018 deadline.
October 10, 2018 – September marked the end of another successful Eno/MAX program. Throughout 2018, a cohort of 48 students participated in the Eno/MAX (Multi-Agency Exchange) Program to share best practices, build their professional network, and enhance their leadership skills.
