Rhonda Allen is the Chief Customer Experience Officer at MARTA, the nation’s ninth largest transit system which includes heavy rail, light rail, bus and paratransit services. As a strategic program manager, she supports the C-Suite in implementing and tracking major initiatives.
During her 20-year career at MARTA, Rhonda has been successful in various roles in engineering, contract administration, and management of transit infrastructure rehabilitation and organizational process improvement projects. As Senior Project Manager, Rhonda led a team of professionals in the completion of the north entrance of MARTA’s Buckhead Transit Station. The complex project involved multiple stakeholders and won the 2014 PEDS Golden Shoe Award for pedestrian-friendly access.
In her current role as Chief Customer Experience Officer, Rhonda delivers results for priority organizational goals by bridging internal stakeholders and functions. She oversees planning and management of internal resources for large scale events that may affect operations and the customers’ experience. Rhonda oversaw all planning efforts resulting in successful implementation of plans for Super Bowl LIII and the 50th Running of the Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta in 2019. She is also leading implementation of the next generation of MARTA’s fare collection system.
A native of Georgia, Rhonda graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and Master of Science in Civil Engineering. Her studies focused on Structural Engineering and Construction, Engineering and Management, respectively. She also has a professional certification with the Project Management Institute.
