Nicole Young is vice president, Commercial Aviation and Transportation (Federal Legislative Branch Government Operations), a position that she assumed in August 2016. Nicole is responsible for overseeing legislative authorization and appropriations advocacy for Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA), including operational, safety, certification, NextGen, airline and aviation security issues, and export credit financing. Nicole and her team work to support BCA activities and programs through favorable policy and regulation from Congress and the Administration.

Prior to her current role, Nicole served as chief of staff for Government Operations for The Boeing Company, reporting to senior vice president for Government Operations, Tim Keating. As Chief of Staff, she supported administrative and operational efforts on behalf of Boeing Commercial Airplanes and Boeing Defense Systems. Her career at Boeing also includes serving as chief of staff for the National Strategy & Engagement team that encompasses State & Local Government Operations, Global Corporate Citizenship and Strategy & Advocacy.

In this position, Nicole supported the vice president and furthered team coordination and alignment with legislative and business objectives. Nicole joined the Boeing Company in 2012 as manager for Boeing’s Political Action Committee (BPAC). In that position, Nicole managed the day-to-day management, compliance and strategy for political giving at the federal, state and local level. During her tenure as BPAC manager, Nicole raised more than $1.5 million in new money from eligible employees and took BPAC from the 20th largest corporate political action committee in the country to the 6th largest.

Prior to joining Boeing, she served as director of operations & strategy for the Malaria No More Policy Center based in Washington, D.C., where she helped create the first Congressional Caucus and Senate Working Group on Malaria and travelled extensively to Africa helping to further malaria eradication efforts for African Heads of State. Nicole also has more than a decade worth of experience on Capitol Hill, serving as deputy chief of staff to former Senator Norm Coleman of Minnesota, chief of staff to former Congressman Mark Green and legislative aide to Congressman Scott Klug, both of Wisconsin. Nicole has also worked on multiple political campaigns at the federal, state and local levels and has served as a diplomacy exchange delegate to China with the American Council of Young Political Leaders. Nicole earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and English at the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
