Cambridge, MA – Transportation experts and renowned academics are coming together on Thursday, April 16th at Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Wong Auditorium to present the findings of a new report entitled Getting to the Route of It: The Role of Governance in Regional Transit and discuss how metropolitan Boston compares to its national transit peers.
For Getting to the Route of It, the Eno Center for Transportation – together with TransitCenter – studied transit systems in Boston, Chicago. Dallas/Fort Worth, Minneapolis/St. Paul, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City Tri-State area. The study finds while Boston’s transit system is faring well for riders, authorities still have room for improvement in funding and stakeholder input structures.
An expert discussion moderated by David Bragdon, TransitCenter’s Executive Director, will follow the report presentation.
