This is a proposed amendment in the nature of a substitute (ANS) to S. 1405, the Senate version of the Federal Aviation Administration reauthorization bill, dated June 27, 2018 and subsequently put through the “hotline” process by the Senate Republican Cloakroom. This version drops the controversial “1,500-hour” copilot training rule from the earlier committee-reported bill and also adds several TSA bills as well as a NTSB reauthorization bill.
