TMM is designed for mid-level managers working in cross-functional transportation roles in transit, federal, and the public and private sectors. 

Known for being a critical step for hundreds of transportation alumni, TMM is ideal for professionals wanting to accelerate their career advancement. Applicants selected into the program will be committed to authentic engagement with executive faculty, coaches, and program peers. Selected applicants should be ready to embark on a challenging, insightful, and dynamic leadership journey. Successful completion of the program will require a willingness to be vulnerable, courageous, committed, and comfortable with the uncomfortable. If you are ready to accelerate in your career and are looking for a program that will leverage your success and help you navigate the complexities of leadership – then apply today.

Individuals interested in applying for the program must provide the following:

  1. Complete an Online Application by signing into your Eno account
  2. Statement of Interest (must answer each essay question) 
  3. Updated Resume
  4. A Signed Nomination Letter (by a senior or executive leader at your organization)

The application deadline for all TMM sessions is Friday, March 1st by 11:59pm EST.

Detailed information on lodging and program logistics will be available to participants upon being accepted and registering for the program.

During the week-long Accelerate program, participants can expect to:

  • Optimize their specific leadership styles through an award-winning 360 Leadership Assessment
  • Participate in individualized coaching sessions based on 360 leadership assessment results 
  • Learn strategies to elevate effective communication skills 
  • Improve strategic and critical thinking skills

  • Develop tools to act as a bridge between senior leadership and public-facing employees 
  • Gain a broader knowledge of industry challenges and how to navigate change 
  • Analyze and develop leadership lessons utilizing ancient and contemporary concepts 
  • Identify and utilize various leadership styles and theories 
  • Interpret the critical role of mid-level managers 
  • Strategically apply delegation methods used to enhance time and capacity 
  • Learn the balance between leading people and managing activities 
  • Outline and design authentic and unique leadership stories 
  • Create alignment across the organization by better leveraging skills, role, and function 
  • Hone team and trust-building techniques
  • Strengthen coaching and feedback skills 
  • Develop a stronger peer network across transportation organizations
  • Program costs for the 2024 Transportation Mid-Manager Program are $4,900.  Program benefits include the following:
    • Coverage of most meals (breakfast, lunch, and light snacks) in addition to a networking reception on one evening. 
    • Hotel lodging is not included in the tuition fees. However, Eno competitively negotiates standard hotel rates for program attendees. All Eno event hotels are rated 3-stars or above and are in thriving, transportation-hub cities. Once selected into the program, a weblink will be sent to participants registering for the program to directly book their stay via the hotel’s reservation portal. 
    • Member-only access to Eno policy papers, research, and archived policy library.
    • Executive coaching from industry experts, one-on-one and in small group sessions.
    • Lifetime Eno Alumni Association membership to help keep your career on track.
    • Complimentary subscription to ‘Propel’—Eno’s new quarterly online digital publication for Eno’s Professional Development alumni.
    • A 6-month complimentary membership to the highly coveted Eno Transportation Weekly (ETW), the premier transportation publication covering legislative and regulatory industry news, written by the renowned Jeff Davis, Eno Senior Fellow.
    • Direct engagement with VIP Keynote Speakers.
    • Post-course coaching webinars to reinforce course curriculum.
    • Peer-to-peer coaching and social networking events.

Course tuition should be paid 30 days before the start of the program either online or through a company invoice. If an invoice is the preferred method of payment, one will be emailed to the participant after registration is complete. Payment terms for invoices are net 30 days. Cancellations 

All cancellations must be made in writing to an Eno staff member. Should the event be canceled by force majeure, Eno is not responsible for any penalty incurred because of purchasing a non-refundable travel ticket or related travel/personal costs. 

  • Confirmed registrants may cancel and receive a full refund (minus a $350 administrative fee) up to 30 business days before the program. 
  • If you find that you are unable to attend, and it is less than 30 business days before the program start date, you forfeit 50% of your tuition. 
  • If you find that you are unable to attend, and it is 10 business days or less before the program start date, you forfeit your entire tuition. 

Transfers 

If you find that you are unable to attend, and it is more than 30 business days before the program start date, you may be able to transfer your paid registration to an alternate applicant to attend a similar program in your place pending application approval by and at the discretion of Eno. 

Approved transfers are permitted one time only within the calendar year.

To ensure a safe and immersive learning experience, all TMM participants are required to undergo a brief Health and Safety check prior to beginning each program day. Participants must also comply with any state and local COVID-19 mask mandates and protocols. Please note that Eno cannot guarantee social distancing within the learning environment.

AICP credits are not available for the TMM 2024 course. We look forward to offering them for TMM in 2025!

The 2024 TMM Program will be held in three (3) in-person sessions.

The 2024 Transportation Mid-Manager Accelerate™ program is designed for mid-level leaders wanting to be faster, sharper, and stronger in the art of leadership. The Accelerate™ model is intentionally anchored by three directives: enhance strategic skillsets, engage in meaningful leadership content and learning, and re-invigorate how participants show up as leaders.

Program Dates

When applying applicants will be asked to rank the first, second, and third choice sessions they would like to attend. Please note that applicants are not automatically guaranteed their TMM Accelerate™ session choice. Final decisions on session assignment will be determined based on class size distribution and organization type (transit, public, private) to yield the richest experience for attendees. 

TMM Session 1: New Orleans, LA

Spring Session, June 09 – 14, 2024

New Orleans, “The Big Easy,” beckons with its vibrant culture, jazz melodies, and culinary wonders. In the birthplace of jazz, the lively Frenchmen Street offers pulsating live performances, and Second Line parades evoke the city’s musical heritage. Savor Creole and Cajun delights, from gumbo to beignets, and explore the historic French Quarter’s colorful streets and iconic landmarks. Dive into the revelry of Mardi Gras or venture into the mystical swamps on a guided tour. With vintage streetcars clattering through charming neighborhoods and steamboats gliding along the mighty Mississippi, New Orleans ensures an exhilarating journey through a city that’s a cultural treasure trove waiting to be explored.

TMM Session 2: San Diego, CA

Summer Session, July 28 – August 2, 2024

San Diego, nestled along the sun-soaked Southern California coast, is renowned for its pristine beaches like Pacific Beach and La Jolla Cove, offering a wealth of water activities and relaxation. Balboa Park, a cultural treasure, houses world-class museums and the famous San Diego Zoo, while nearby hiking trails in Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve beckon outdoor enthusiasts. Explore the historic Gaslamp Quarter for vibrant nightlife and the Old Town San Diego State Historic Park for a step back in time. Don’t miss the chance to witness majestic whales on a boat tour or immerse yourself in family fun at Legoland. With a convenient trolley system and scenic ferry rides, getting around is a breeze. San Diego promises an unforgettable blend of natural beauty, culture, and adventure beneath its year-round sunshine.

TMM Session 3: Portland, OR

Fall Session, September 15 – 20, 2024

Portland, Oregon, nestled in the Pacific Northwest, combines natural beauty, vibrant culture, and sustainability into a unique destination. You can hike on the iconic Mt. Hood or explore the Columbia River Gorge’s scenic wonders. The city’s food scene is renowned for its diverse options, and it’s a craft beer lover’s paradise with countless breweries. Portland’s artistic spirit thrives in galleries and theaters, while Powell’s City of Books, the world’s largest independent bookstore, beckons book lovers. The International Rose Test Garden showcases the city’s “City of Roses” nickname, and biking the city’s lanes is easy with its bike-friendly infrastructure. MAX Light Rail and walkability make getting around simple. In Portland, you’ll find a captivating blend of nature, culture, and sustainable living that promises an unforgettable visit.
