The Eno Center for Transportation has selected Alice Grossman for the Eno Summer 2017 Thomas J. O’Bryant Transportation Policy and Finance Fellowship. This fellowship is designed to provide a professional development opportunity for aspiring transportation specialists.

Alice is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Transportation at the School of Civil and Environment Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Her research focuses on the affect federal legislation may have on urban regions using performance measures in transportation planning, project prioritization, and implementation. Alice is involved in research on sidewalk database development and quality analysis, electronic travel diary development, K-12 and higher education in STEM, and bicycle and pedestrian safety. Notably, she was also part of Eno’s 2015 Future Leaders Development Conference class.

Alice will start with Eno on May 15, 2017.

Who was Thomas O’Bryant?

Thomas J. O’Bryant was a passionate person – always striving to raise the status quo – constantly looking for and expecting the best from everyone.  Along with a successful career in the financial industry, transportation policy was a large part of his life and legacy. The O’Bryant family, former colleagues, Board leadership, and Eno staff are grateful that the Thomas J. O’Bryant Fellowship was presented to Tom upon his retirement from the Eno board, but before he died in 2012.

Tom was a driving force behind Eno’s Future Leaders Development Conference. He genuinely cared about Eno’s future and devoted a significant amount of his time to serving the organization’s transportation leadership and policy research efforts.  He was a member of Eno’s Board of Directors for 12 years, spending nine of those years as treasurer. He also served on the Eno Board of Advisors and Regents.
