August 22, 2018

The Eno Center for Transportation is saddened by the recent loss of Lou Gambaccini, the founding Chairman of New Jersey Transit and a former member of the Eno Board of Advisors. For more than a decade, Lou worked closely with Eno on a number of initiatives, including the International Transit Studies Program. In 1997 Lou lead a delegation to learn about the applications of intelligent transportation systems to public transit in Europe. In addition to his time at New Jersey Transit, Lou spent 30 years at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. He was also New Jersey’s Commissioner of Transportation and later served eight years as the General Manager of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority.
