Thomas J. O’Bryant Transportation Policy and Finance Fellowship
The Eno Center for Transportation is accepting fellowship applications for Summer 2012. This fellowship is designed to greater the professional development of transportation specialists. Successful applicants will gain further knowledge of transportation and infrastructure as well as an understanding of the U.S. policymaking process through the following: conducting research under the guidance of Eno’s President and CEO; collaborating with transportation experts on publications; and assisting in the execution of programs conducted by Eno’s Center for Transportation Leadership.
Areas of focus include:
- Publication. A signature element of the program is the completion of at least one journal-quality publication to be published by Eno.
- Bridging the gap between research and policy. The fellow will participate in Eno’s outreach toward the policy community in Washington, DC, through participation in conferences, briefings, and private meetings.
- Gaining in-depth knowledge of U.S. policymaking. The fellow will engage the policymaking community through association with the Board of Directors, Eno education programs, and briefings to policymakers.
Duration
Duration of the appointment is 10 weeks (start and end dates to be determined in discussions with the successful candidate).
Qualifications
Fellowships are awarded to students seeking their bachelor’s, master’s or Ph.D. in transportation, engineering, housing, urban planning, or related degrees.
Compensation
Fellows will be paid a stipend of $2,000 per month.
Deadline
Submit application materials by March 16, 2012. Interviews will be held in early April.
